What happens when you need to find talented IT professionals, but time is your biggest enemy? Tech & IT People are the ones who come to the rescue—connecting the best employees with the most ambitious employers, and faster than you can say “deadline.”
With the promise of delivering a new specialist within 30 days, remote teams of recruiters and a focus on the US, UK and Europe, Tech & IT People needed performance marketing that was as agile and efficient as their business. And that’s where we come in.
A PPC campaign where every click counts
The campaign we launched for March 2025 had a clear objective—to bring new customers to the client. But we didn’t just want to “launch something”. We wanted to control the entire user journey—from the first banner to the click on the phone number. So we created a campaign that tracked everything—forms, emails and phone calls.
We designed the structure of the campaign according to the goals and budget. We focused on getting new leads with search ads and on increasing brand awareness with banner campaigns. To reach people who had previously visited our site, we ran a banner remarketing campaign. And to make matters more interesting, in addition to the English version, we also launched a comparison campaign in German.
Overseeing the entire marketing funnel
We’ve split the ad groups and individual creatives and keywords to cover all stages of the marketing funnel: awareness building, the consideration phase, and the actual conversion.
Initially, our targeting was broad enough to attract a wide range of potential customers. At the same time, we intensively evaluated lead performance and lead quality, which allowed us to gradually narrow our targeting, examine people’s interactions with the content, and increase the effectiveness of our ads.
Creative, consistent and tailor-made
We put as much emphasis on creativity as we did on strategy. We prepared the search ads in duo of a PPC specialist and a copywriter, drawing on qualitative insights provided by the client and their internal team. The result was copy that both works with and responds to the specific concerns and expectations of the target audience.
For the banners, we built on the visual style that the client has been building on social networks for a long time. Thanks to this, the banners should act as a natural extension of the brand’s communication and not as an extraneous advertising element.
How much can be done in 31 days?
The results from March surprised even us. With a limited budget, our campaigns received almost 50,000 impressions and less than 3,000 clicks with an average cost per click of just €0.14. Pretty good for the US market and Western Europe, right?
The English remarketing campaign shone the brightest in click-through rates, while Finland, Denmark and Germany led in conversions. On the other hand, search ads in German didn’t do as well as we had hoped. But that’s also what performance marketing is all about. Fail fast, learn fast.
501% increase in a month—and that’s just the beginning
In March alone, we saw an incredible 501% increase in the number of website users. A whopping 59% of this traffic came via individual banners, while text search ads contributed a further 21% of traffic. And if we’re talking about brand building, 14% came through direct traffic.
However, you won’t eat the traffic and most importantly, even with a limited media budget, we got a 467% increase in form submissions, a 133% increase in clicks on email links, and up to a 950% increase in clicks on phone numbers.
